The Second Party Congress of Our College Opened
On May 24th, the second CPC Congress of SCBC opened in the Lecture Hall. During the two-day Party Congress, the delegates, in five delegations, would dive into the report of the Party committee and give constructive suggestions for the development of our college.

On May 24th, David C. Schroeder, Consul of Economic Section, Consulate General of the United States at Guangzhou visited our college and gave a lecture in the multifunctional conference room of Teaching Building C202, on the theme of “Employment suggestions for Chinese students to get access to transnational enterprises”.
How much do you know about body language? Find more in English Time Space
On May 22nd, hosted by foreign teachers Diab and Markus, this session of English Time Space, on the theme of “Body Language”, aimed to promote the students’ further understanding of the importance of the body language. For giving the students firsthand experience, the foreign teachers played some interesting games so that the students could enjoy the significance of body language in exercise.
Cooperation Agreement with Sangmyung University of Korea
On May 21st, a party, headed by Shuji Min, Deputy Director of the Office of External & International Affairs, Sangmyung University of Korea, visited our college and signed two agreements on “1+4”-model studying in Korea and exchanging students. The both parties expressed their desire to further cooperate and communicate.
First Time of Holding Test for Arabic Majors (Band-4) at Our College
On the morning of May 20th, Test for Arabic Majors (Band-4) was held at our college for the first time, with 30 Arabic majors of Grade 2010 attending. As a successful bidder of examination site for Arabic Majors Test, our college turned into a new examination site for one more language after College English, English, French, German and Spanish.
Our College was Awarded “the Best College Organizer” in the “Competition of Guide Star among the Colleges of Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing”
On the afternoon of May 20th, the Grand Final of “4th ‘Naihai China Travel Service’ Competition of Guide Star among the Colleges of Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing” was held at the studio of Foshan TV Station. Pengyu Chen, a student of English-only class of Grade 2010 Marketing of International Business Management Department, came to the fore from among the 10 competitors of 10 colleges and was awarded “the Best Talent-performer”. As one of the organizers of selective trial, our college was awarded “the Best College Organizer” for our outstanding organization.
Foreign Teachers Tell You How to Learn English in Happiness
On May 17th, the second English-only lecture, sponsored by College English Department, was held in Teaching Building F106. On “Easy English”, this lecture was hosted by foreign teachers Faith and Nilo. In the lecture, the students present experienced the pleasure of learning English from vocabulary games, role playing and quizzes on English songs.
