Teaching Staff Singing Competition: Loud Singing in SCBC

     On the evening of June 20^th, the Teaching Staff Singing Competition was held at the BusinessPlaza. After the teaching staff of all departments prepared with great enthusiasm, 22 programs took turns on play. The splendid party attracted many teachers and students applauding constantly. Finally, Asian Languages and Cultures Department won the first prize of chorus with “Love the Chinese Nation”, the Department of International Economy and Trade the first prize of solo with Beijing opera “Pear Blossom Carol”.

The Second Dragon-boat Race of SCBC

     From June 18^th to 20^th, the 2^nd Dragon Boat Race was held in the lake in front of the library. With the first participation of school staff, this race is divided into staff groups, 9 teams, and student groups, 17 teams of respective male and female, to compete in 100-meter straight racing. Through tow-round races, while the teams would be divided into groups according to their scores in the first-round race, the final score would be the average score of the two-round races. With the form of dragon floating on the lake, the crowd on the bank cheered continuously. Finally, the Union of Logistical Group won the championship in staff groups, while the male and female Team No.1 of International Business Management Department won respectively the championship in student groups.

Peng Zhifang Headed a Delegation to Visit Japanese Universities

     From June 6^th to 14^th, Peng Zhifang, Executive Vice President of SCBC, headed a delegation to visit Japanese universities. During the visit, the delegation attended on invitation the 70^th anniversary of HokkaidoBunkyoUniversity and looked in on our students studying here learning about their life and study at Hokkaido. During the stay in Japan, the delegation visited SapporoGakuinUniversity and ObirinUniversity as well.

Preventatives of Our College was Awarded the 3^rd Prize in National Convention &. Exhibition Skills Competition

     Recently, the second “Yuan Hua Cup” Convention &. Exhibition Skills Competition was held at GuangzhouUniversityTown. Cui Lihua, Zhao Min and Zhuang,Feixiang, Convention &. Exhibition majors of International Economy and Trade Department grade 2009, competing with over 20 national college teams, were awarded the 3^rd prize, which is the first time that our college has attended in group the national Convention &. Exhibition Competition.

Searching for Enthusiasm of Studying at Japanese Corner

     On June 13^th, to stimulate the enthusiasm of studying Japanese, the Asian Languages and Cultures Department carried out a “Japanese Corner” on the theme of “My First Love with Japanese”. Three Japanese foreign teachers interacted with the students by activities of “first love” post-it notes, song name riddles and Japanese classical animation plays, to recapture the first love with Japanese years ago.
