More Than 100 Activities Coming Up for “Quality Teaching Campaign”
This semester’s “Quality Teaching Campaign” was officially launched on October 10, with a featured theme of “regulated teaching management and high- quality teaching to cultivate better talents”. More than 100 activities will be unfolded in the upcoming month, including teaching seminars, teachers observing each other’s lessons, open or demo lessons, checking up on teaching and learning styles, teachers and students symposiums, teaching practices, and extra-curricular activities.
Spanish Majors Have a Closer Look at Spanish Culture
On October 13, led by the foreign teachers Ms. Andrea and Mr. Alejandro, Spanish majors of SCBC took a closer look at Spanish culture in the Spanish Cultural Festival held in Lingnan World in Foshan City. In the evening entertainment show, students were quite intoxicated by the fantastic repertoire of Spanish styles, such as Spanish folk dances, flamingo dance and costumes shows, flamingo guitar performances, etc.
Representatives from Hoseo University in South Korea Visits SCBC
On October 16, a delegation from Hoseo University in South Korea, led by Mr. Kim, director of the Office of International Exchange and Education and head of the School of Airline Services, visited SCBC and held a discussion with Vice President Lai Zhili about the enhancement of exchange and cooperation between the two parties. Mr. Kim introduced the curricula and employment prospects of student exchange programs and expected further cooperation with SCBC.
Vice President of Public University of Navana in Spain Visits SCBC
On October 16, Mr. Javier Casli, vice president of Public University of Navana (Universidad Publica de Navana) in Spain led a delegation to visit SCBC and was welcomed by President Liu Jianda and Vice President Lai Zhili at the Honorary Hall of the Administrative Building. The two parties exchanged ideas on the cooperation and student exchange programs in the meeting. Mr. Casli also expressed the hope to establish cooperation partnership with SCBC.
English Space Time: A Journey to Appreciate Red Wine Culture
On October 16, the first section of English Space Time, organized by the Department of College English and featured by “Drinking wine and tasting wine”, was held in the teaching building. The occasion was co-lectured by Jerry Chen, an Italian sommelier and Mr. Lamber, a foreign teacher of SCBC. The students present enjoyed a wonderful time of appreciating red wine together with the lecturers.
Vice President of Tanta University in Egypt Visits SCBC
On October 17, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Dabaon, vice president of Tanta University and principal chief of Egyptian international relations, visited SCBC. It was the first time that SCBC established connection with higher learning institutions in the Arabic world.
Mr. Dabaon spoke highly of the situation and educational philosophy of SCBC. With the Chinese language program under construction for Tanta University, he hoped that the two parties could learn from each other and set up exchange projects.
