SCBC Summarizes Its Work on International Exchanges
On the afternoon of December 13, the work meeting of international exchanges, presided over by Vice President Lai Zhili, was held at Room 309 of the Administrative Building.
At the start of the meeting, Mr. Huang Hancheng, director of the International Education Division, summarized the situation of international exchanges of the college with some details of student exchange activities from 2008 to 2012, and then he introduced the plan for future work against the backdrop of educational internationalization. Mr. Liang Xiaoqi, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, further explained the four internationalizations, namely, of educational philosophy, personnel structure and communication, teaching and research, and management and operation, which can not be realized without closer collaborations with departments and improvement of working procedures.
Vice President Lai expressed his gratitude to all the departments for their strong supports to the work of international exchanges. He said the purpose and significance of international exchanges is to integrate home and abroad the superior pedagogical resources and the characteristic teaching methods so as to follow the global trend of “localizing international education”. Meanwhile, he analyzed in details the existing inadequacies on the work of international exchanges and suggested several requirements for further improvement.
