SCBC’s Second-phase Campus Construction Listed as Provincial Key Project to Begin in 2018
Good news has arrived recently that the second phase of SCBC campus construction was listed into the“2018 Plan for Key Construction Projects in Guangdong Province”, a blueprint for the province’s infrastructural development in 2018 deliberated and adopted by the First Session of the 13th Provincial People’s Congress.
This new wave of campus building, which will begin before the end of 2018 and is expected to be completed by 2020, has attracted much attention from SCBC faculty members and students, and concerned parties from all walks of life.
A total of RMB 320 million yuan will be invested in the second-phase construction covering a floor area of 339,000 square meters. The new school buildings include classrooms, libraries, foreign language labs, sports centers, swimming pools, student dormitories, and apartment buildings for faculty and staff.
At present, SCBC is working intensely to prepare for the relevant procedures for land use and the finalization of designs for new buildings. After the completion of the project, SCBC’s infrastructure will be greatly improved, especially its teaching facilities, which lays a good foundation for building itself into a high-level university.
