A Good Start: the First SCBC Alumni Enterprise Job Fair
SCBC had extended a warm welcome to the alumni who were invited to join the first alumni enterprise job fair held on the beautiful early summer day of May 17. A total of 30 enterprises participated in the event, offering over 1200 employment and internship opportunities to the energetic and enthusiastic SCBC students.
The alumni enterprise job fair was expected to benefit both the participating enterprises and SCBC students. On the one hand, the job fair served as an opportunity for alumni enterprises to get some fresh blood into their organizations. SCBC has upgraded its structure of academic disciplines and focused on cultivating professional talents with international vision, who will turn out to be valuable assets for their employers. On the other hand, the alumni enterprises would help create a high-level platform for job hunting and thus work to improve the quality of employment for SCBC students.
Li Dong, the Party secretary of SCBC Party Committee and vice president of SCBC, was at the job fair and talked with representatives from the enterprises about student training, students’ internship and employment. He observed that the job fair was a good success, citing so many students rushing to have a shot despite of such scorching weather. He said the job fair was not only a showcase for the entrepreneurship of SCBC alumni, but also a boost to their enterprises’ development. At the same time, it was an occasion for SCBC students to have a glimpse of the employment market. He promised that with the first as a good start, SCBC alumni enterprise job fair will be made a regular event, or even better, a celebrated brand for SCBC in the future.
