The 2018 Annual Meeting of the 9th Education and China’s Future 30 Forum at SCBC: Forging New Paradigms for Teacher Training in the New Era
On December 15, South China Business College hosted the 2018 annual meeting of the 9th Education and China’s Future 30 Forum at the International Hall on its campus where experts and scholars joint to share their views on forging new paradigms for teacher training to serve Chinese education in the new era. The forum was initiated by teacher training departments or divisions of five prestigious universities, including Sun Yet-sen University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University,East China Normal University and Nanjing Normal University. There are at the annual meeting two equally focused themes: searching for new approaches to promote normal colleges for the re-emergence of the Chinese nation and forging new paradigms to train teachers for a shared bright future of mankind.
Wang Xinjie, vice-president of South China Business College, pointed out in her speech that the meeting, whose themes were in line with the provincial project of empowering teachers and the action plan of rejuvenating normal school education in Guangdong, had constituted an important part of the province’s painstaking effort to implement its new policies of promoting normal colleges and universities set under the guidelines of the recent National Education Conference. Meanwhile, she said, playing host to the annual meeting had been a great opportunity for South China Business College to learn from the experience of its counterparts and seek valuable advice from the present experts and scholars on the development of its own undergraduate program of education and other areas involving teacher training.
