The medium-time projects include exchange programs, that is, juniors and seniors of SCBC study at the University of Applied Sciences Europe for one to two semesters. The long-time projects are basically “2+2” and “3+1” undergraduate programs, where credits earned at both institutions are mutually recognized, and “4+2” bachelor-master programs. More over, the two sides also exchanged preliminary opinions on the founding of a China-Germany institute.

Later in the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation, which ushered in a new stage of cooperation in terms of student exchange, academic communication, and faculty training.

On the morning of June 22, 2191 SCBC graduates were conferred bachelor’s degree at the 2019 Commencement and Diploma Ceremony held at the Cultural Square, and 179 of them were awarded certificates of excellence.

President Jiao Fangtai delivered a speech, saying that it was quite an emotional moment for him to see all the young and energetic men and women in their gowns and caps in graduation season. “In the past four years, SCBC has seen your happiness and sadness, your fights and struggles, your hopes and desperation. But more importantly, it has proudly seen you grow into who you are today. And SCBC has also grown along the way, in its own rapid ‘SCBC speed’, by improving both the internal and external dimensions to turn itself into a high-level university.  “He said, “there is indeed ‘a community of shared future’ by and for the college and all the students. ”

President Jao Fangtai gave three pieces of advice to the graduates before they bade farewell to their alma mater: first, live a virtuous life and never flinch before hardship; second, have a big dream and never stop pursuing it until you succeed; and third, think different and and blaze your own trail. “Success only belongs to those who are brave and committed to their aspirations.” He hoped that all the graduating students, in the stimulating arena of life, with pioneering and enterprising spirit, can break through all the difficulties in pursuing their dreams and dedicate their youthful vigor to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

In groups all the degree candidates went up to the stage to receive diploma certificates and congratulations from President Jiao Fangtai, who gave them a warm handshake and shifted the tassels on their caps to the left as a symbol of graduation.
