SCBC sets up IATA Authorized Training Center
On October 15, an online ceremony was held to officially authorize South China Business College to set up an IATA Authorized Training Center (ATC). Present in the ceremony were IATA’s Regional Vice President (RVP) for North Asia Ma Tao, SCBC’s Vice President He Aibing, and nearly 50 representatives from IATA Headquarters, domestic airlines, airports, and higher institutions.
After the authorization, the ATC will begin to recruit students in and out of SCBC and provide IATA training courses, which are delivered by senior instructors from IATA, such as Airline Cabin Crew Training, Passenger Ground Services, Airline economy and Management, etc.. Students who pass course exams will receive certificates recognized by IATA members all over the world, thus gaining an competitive edge in pursuing a career in the global aviation industry.
Vice President He Aibing regarded the authorization from IATA as trust in and support to SCBC’s commitment to servicing the aviation industry, saying that with the training resources from IATA, SCBC will step up its efforts to recruit and train more students for the industry. He hoped that the two sides work together to build the ATC at SCBC into a shining example of IATA training centers in China.
IATA’s RVP for North Asia Ma Tao said he was happy to witness the authorization of the ATC and to have SCBC joining the IATA training network. He hoped that the partnership will play its part in bringing IATA’s aviation training programs to SCBC and cultivating top-notch professionals for the industry.
The International Air Transport Association is a trade association of the world's airlines. In addition to solving problems in aviation operations, IATA works with governments, international organizations, and other relevant authorities to help the development of global value chains and to define the correct regulatory framework for the industry. As of today, IATA has 297 airline members.
