【法国】Mathieu Vernet

 My name is Mathieu VERNET, I'm French, coming from Paris. I like to say that I'm both from north and south of France because my two parents are from the south of France. That already gives me different cultures even if the language is the same (or almost) the ways to behave are quite different.

About studies, I first graduated from Biology and then I decided to change and try Urban Planning. I really like urban planning so I pursue until getting my Master degree.

After my Master degree in urban planning I begun to work in a social landlord society, then I went to a, architecture and urban planning agency in Paris. I worked there for 1 year on 2 big projects: Amiens and Champigny-sur-Marne. After this experience I worked 2 years in a city hall for the biggest social and renovation project in France over 200 millions Euros on 5 years.

During the time I was in the architecture and urban planning agency I met my wife who was studying urban planning and came to this agency for an internship. A little time later we married. Then she found a job in China (Beijing) and as I missed her and I always had been interest in the Chinese history and culture, I came to join her.

I first studied Chinese in Beijing Language and Culture University for 4 months and then we moved to Guangzhou where I first worked as urban planner and now as French teacher.

    我是Mathieu VERNET，我来自法国巴黎。我既可以说是北方人，又可以说是南方人，因为我的父母都是在法国南部长大。这令我接受到两个不同地区的文化熏陶，尽管它们的语言（几乎）相同，但表现的方式却颇有差异。

    在学业上，我先是获得一个生物学学位，后来我改变方向，尝试修读城市规划。因为我真的很喜欢城市规划，所以我坚持修读直至我获得硕士学位为止。

 获得了城市规划硕士学位以后，我在一家社区房地协会工作，然后转到了一家巴黎的建筑与城市规划中介所。我在那里工作了一年，负责亚眠和马恩河谷省.达尚皮尼市的两个大项目。我凭着这一年的工作经验，随后在当地市政府工作了两年，负责当时在法国一个最大的社区楼房翻新项目，五年内耗资超过2亿欧罗。

 在建筑与城市规划中介所工作的时候，我认识了我的妻子，她当时是一边修读城市规划一边在我们中介所做一名实习生。过了不久，我们就结婚了。她在中国北京找了一份工作，出于挂念，和一直对中国历史文化的浓厚兴趣，我决定到北京跟她在一起。

    来到北京以后，我先在北京语言大学学习了四个月中文，后来我们一起搬到广州，在这里，我曾从事城市规划，而现在我是一名法语教师。
